What is TON (TON)?

The Open Network (TON) is a decentralized blockchain platform designed for scalable and fast digital transactions. Originally developed by the Telegram team, the network is now supported by independent developers. TON's architecture includes three levels: Masterchain, Workchains, and Shardchains, which provide high throughput and security. Thanks to sharding, the network is capable of processing over 100,000 transactions per second, making it one of the most productive among modern blockchains. The TON ecosystem combines blockchain, the TON Payments payment system, TON Storage, the TON DNS service for convenient domain names, TON Proxy for privacy, and TON Services for decentralized applications.
