What is PulseChain (PLS)?
PulseChain is a Tier 1 blockchain network developed by Richard Hurt, who is also known for creating the HEX cryptocurrency. It aims to improve the Ethereum network by addressing issues such as power consumption, transaction costs, and scalability. The key feature of PulseChain is that PulseChain utilizes the PoS consensus mechanism, which is more energy efficient compared to the original proof-of-work (PoW) model in Ethereum. While Ethereum has also moved to PoS, PulseChain aims to offer lower gas fees and faster transactions, PulseChain is fully compatible with the Ethereum ecosystem. In addition, PulseChain has a deflation mechanism - meaning that the network burns off a portion of transaction fees paid in PLS, reducing the supply of PLS over time, potentially increasing the value of remaining tokens.

Who created the PulseChain blockchain?
PulseChain was created by Richard Heart, a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency space. He is also the founder of the HEX cryptocurrency and has been involved in other projects like PulseX. How does the PulseChain blockchain work?
The consensus mechanism is Proof of Stake (PoS). Validators are selected based on the number of PLS tokens they put on the line. The more tokens at stake, the higher the chance of being selected to propose new blocks. The selected validators offer new blocks containing transactions. Other validators check these blocks to make sure they are accurate. Unlike traditional Proof of Work (PoW) systems, PoS reduces energy consumption by eliminating the need for brute-force computation. In addition, PulseChain organizes time into epochs (6.4 minutes) divided into slots (12 seconds each). This structure facilitates efficient transaction processing and validator rotation.
