What is Ethereum (ETH)?
Ethereum is an open-source, decentralized blockchain platform created by Vitalik Buterin and launched in 2015. It enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. A key feature of Ethereum is its use of the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, known as Ethereum 2.0. Unlike Bitcoin's Proof of Work (PoW), PoS doesn't require computational resources for mining.
