Ethereum is an open-source, decentralized blockchain platform created by Vitalik Buterin and launched in 2015. It enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. A key feature of Ethereum is its use of the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, known as Ethereum 2.0.
