HECO (Huobi Eco Chain) is a blockchain platform developed and launched by Huobi Global, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. HECO is an open, scalable, and decentralized network designed for building decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts with low fees and high performance. HECO is built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), making it compatible with existing dApps and smart contracts developed on the Ethereum platform. HECO employs the Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) consensus algorithm, which combines elements of Proof of Stake (PoS) and Delegated Proof of Authority (DPoA).
