Uranium Finance was a decentralized exchange built on Binance Smart Chain that used an AMM model to enable token swapping and liquidity mining. The protocol introduced a unique dual-token reward structure, distributing both native dividends and an investment token to liquidity providers. However, following a flawed migration, the platform experienced a major exploit that resulted in a substantial loss of user funds. This incident highlighted risks associated with smart contract audits and platform upgrades. While Uranium Finance no longer operates at scale, its model remains a case study in the importance of robust security testing, transparent governance, and careful protocol maintenance in DeFi ecosystems.
