Lido Staked Ether (STETH) 是什么？
Lido Staked Ether (stETH) is a derivative of Ethereum (ETH) that is staked on the Lido protocol, a decentralized platform enabling users to stake ETH and participate in Ethereum's consensus mechanism. Staking plays a crucial role in securing the Ethereum network under a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, known for its energy efficiency and scalability. One of the key advantages of Lido is its liquid staking solution, which allows users to stake any amount of ETH without the traditional requirement of a minimum stake of 32 ETH. This flexibility opens up staking opportunities to a wider range of users, eliminating the need to lock up tokens for an indefinite period and reducing exposure to slashing risks associated with validator misbehavior or downtime. Lido issues stETH tokens in exchange for staked ETH, which can be utilized for trading, lending, or as collateral across various decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Additionally, Lido offers a non-rebasable value-accruing counterpart called 'wrapped stETH' (wstETH) for easier integration into DeFi platforms. The stETH tokens are widely adopted across the Ethereum ecosystem, with listings on major liquidity venues. Furthermore, Lido's governance token, LDO, provides holders with voting rights and queryable balances for essential security features within the protocol.
