ThunderSwap is an innovative decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Arbitrum blockchain, using an Automated Market Maker (AMM) mechanism. Its primary goal is to become the leading DEX on this layer in terms of trading volume and total value locked (TVL). This advanced platform allows users to trade ERC-20 tokens on-chain without the need for third-party operators, made possible by the liquidity pools within the app that are funded by users. The ThunderSwap team recognizes the limitations and lack of transparency in traditional financial systems and existing swap and DEX protocols, which often impose high fees and suffer from slow transaction processing due to limited blockchain scalability. This limitation hinders cross-chain transactions as it lacks interoperability.
