Lido Staked Ether (stETH) is a derivative of Ethereum (ETH) that is staked on the Lido protocol, a decentralized platform enabling users to stake ETH and participate in Ethereum's consensus mechanism. Staking plays a crucial role in securing the Ethereum network under a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, known for its energy efficiency and scalability.
